Did you ever wonder why Jesus didn’t just author the Bible while He was on earth? It seemed so logical for Him to articulate his doctrine about God for all people, for all times.
Is it time for a huge missional shift? If so, can we make it? It’s part of our Christian “job description.”
John the Baptist came and preached, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (Matthew 3:2 NIV) Then Jesus begins to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (Mt 4:17) Finally Jesus sends the twelve disciples (Mt 10:7) and the seventy-two (Luke 10:9) out telling them to preach: "The kingdom of heaven is near." So we look around and ask ourselves, "OK, where is it?"
